“This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper” the great writer T. S. Eliot tells us at the end of his 1925 poem The Hollow Men. England have sacked their head coach Eddie Jones just nine months before the Rugby World Cup in France.

The veteran Australian departs after a terrible year of results, with only five wins from 12 Tests in 2022. The 62-year-old won three Six Nations titles and led the team to the 2019 World Cup Final, which they lost to South Africa.

Jones' sacking follows a review into England's disappointing autumn campaign, with the RFU swinging the axe to end his seven year reign. However, way back in 2015, his regime started magnificently with 17 straight wins and two Six Nations titles.

His first game in charge was in the 2016 Six Nations as England ground out a determined 9–15 win against Scotland at Murrayfield. However, can you name the first 23 man squad named by Jones for that match?
